Genagricola’s latest acquisition in the winemaking sector is Costa Arènte, a 35 ha estate with 17 ha of vineyard in the Valpantena near Verona. On its terraces, the classic Veronese pergola sinks its roots into loamy calcareous soil of dolomitic origin. The characteristic loose stony soil allows the plant to explore the terrain and gives the grapes great elegance in their aromas, minerality and acidity. Riccardo Cotarella, the president of Assoenologi, has made this ambition his own, providing his personal contribution with passion and enthusiasm in definition of the final form of the products. Costa Arènte is an absolute gem, which will soon shine with its own light, not only among the Genagricola winemaking estates, but throughout the entire Valpolicella region.
